About

GRAMMY® Award-nominated songwriter, vocalist, multi-instrumentalist, and producer Wolfgang Van Halen continues to separate Mammoth from the pack. The music stands alone on a foundation anchored by his impressive sonic proficiency (across drums, bass, keys, and guitar) and airtight arena-size hooks with unforgettable vocals. He harbors an irresistible signature sound, inventive vision, and incomparable identity vaunted by a fervent global fanbase. For as unique as the music is, his story so far proves to be just as unprecedented. This is arguably the first hard rock act to genuinely break out from ground zero in the 2020's, generating north of 100 million streams, toppling charts, and selling out headline tours less than five years since its debut. Back in 2021, Mammoth's first offering, Mammoth WVH, took flight, bowing at #12 on the Billboard 200 and capturing #1 on three Billboard charts--Top Hard Rock Albums, Top Independent Albums, and Top Rock Albums. "Distance" soared as the first of two #1 Rock Radio Hits and earned a GRAMMY® Award nomination for "Best Rock Song." Two years later, Mammoth II only saw him pick up the pace. It debuted in the Top 5 of the Billboard Top Album Sales Chart in addition to bringing him back to #1 on the Top Hard Rock Albums Chart. It incited widespread applause from Rolling Stone, Guitar World, GRAMMY.com, Classic Rock, American Songwriter, and KERRANG! The band canvased the globe with Metallica and Pantera and supported Foo Fighters in North America as well as filling houses on their own. They performed on ABC's Jimmy Kimmel LIVE!, at MusiCares 2024 gala in honor of Jon Bon Jovi, and Wolf took the stage at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame® Induction of Ozzy Osbourne. Now, Wolfgang pushes forward on Mammoth's third full-length solo LP, The End [BMG].

  • Awesome Evening!

by Angie B on 8/10/21House of Blues Cleveland - ClevelandRating: 5 out of 5

Almost a return to normal! Plush, the warmup band, was a delightful surprise! The Heart cover was unreal! Will keep our eyes out for them! What is there to say about Mammoth WVH!? Personable and in touch with the audience. Intimate. Vulnerable. Some of the best new rock music any of us have heard…in way too long! Did not want it to end! Great evening!

  • Great Show

by DP on 8/10/21House of Blues Cleveland - ClevelandRating: 5 out of 5

The opening act was an all-female 21-under group that I was very impressed with. They had energy and a great sound. Mammoth and Wolfgang were amazing. Wolfgang seems to be getting more comfortable as the lead on stage and I'm afraid I'll never get an opportunity to see him in such a small venue again.

  • Mammoth WVH in Cleveland

One of the best concerts I have been to. Wolfgang is a superstar in the making. Can’t wait to follow his career.

by Matthew on 8/10/21House of Blues Cleveland - ClevelandRating: 5 out of 5

This band ROCKS will definitely like to see them headline again hopefully in Columbus Ohio,or Dayton. Also the opening Band Plush was also fantastic . It is very rare to have not one but two New artists that have the talent the they displayed. I would love to see them both again.

  • Truly outstanding show

by M on 8/10/21House of Blues Cleveland - ClevelandRating: 5 out of 5

Mammoth hit the stage hard and fast and didn’t miss a note all night. Sound was spot on, perfect. Unbelievable that this was the bands 6th performance. Incredibly tight and cohesive. The sky is the limits for this band.

  • Good show, he could of brought the house down

by Killah on 8/10/21House of Blues Cleveland - ClevelandRating: 4 out of 5

Good, tight band. His voice is very good. He should have done a tribute to his Dad, that would of brought the house down.

  • Awesome Concert

by WhiskeyJar69 on 8/10/21House of Blues Cleveland - ClevelandRating: 5 out of 5

Wolfie and the band sounded excellent. Played the whole album plus a song from the Japanese release and also a never released track. Wolfie is a very talented musician and the album is great from top to bottom. Looking forward to seeing them again with GnR.

  • Cleveland left in Embers

by Rockin Ron on 8/10/21Rating: 5 out of 5

Mammoth WVH took to heart the meaning of their opening number "Don't back down" as they set the venue on fire Aug 7th in Cleveland. Wolf and the boys were in command of the capacity crowd from start to finish stopping briefly between numbers to flash that sheepish smile and offer true appreciate and gratitude for the energy the crowd sent forward. Completing a set list that included 16 songs, one of which they had never performed and another yet to be released number. They were absolutely EPIC! Please take notice of this band. They have a great future and we have the privilege to witness its greatness in its genesis.

  • Great show

by slrommel on 8/10/21House of Blues Cleveland - ClevelandRating: 5 out of 5

Mammoth was simply amazing and filled with energy. This was one of the best concerts I have been to in years. Wolfgang is carrying his father’s legacy on! Brought my kids and I hear my son singing songs from the show as I type this. The House of Blues was a great venue. We drove from Rochester, NY to see the show.

  • Unbelievable

by Rajma on 8/10/21House of Blues Cleveland - ClevelandRating: 5 out of 5

Pure, unadulterated talent! If you're a fan of Rock n, Roll that's live and not filled with backing tracks, this is the band for you. Mammoth WVH delivers the goods. Wolfgang is a monster singer/musician and the guys he's put behind him will leave you impressed and wanting more. I can't recommend this show enough.

  • Really good show

by Bob H on 8/10/21House of Blues Cleveland - ClevelandRating: 5 out of 5

The House of Blues is our favorite venue in the city. The shows always sound good, we love being able to head in and out of the restaurant while at the venue, and the setup/sight lines are great at this venue. Mammoth WVH, and opener Plush, were both excellent and the crowd was really into both. What a great way to get back to some live music after the longest stretch (about 18 months) in the last 35 years of my life without seeing a live show in person thanks to COVID. The weirdest thing is that show 35 years ago that hooked me forever was the Van Halen 5150 tour in July of 1986, and my first show back after the longest break during that time was another Van Halen family member. Crazy, but true! Lets hope the shows keep rollin, looking forward to many, many more!!!

  • Best Show I have seen in a while

by Jen Hobin on 8/10/21House of Blues Cleveland - ClevelandRating: 5 out of 5

Mammoth WVH rocked the stage! Every song was beyond amazing to hear live. The venue was awesome! Really looking forward to future music that this band brings to the table.

  • Great show

by Vulpina on 8/10/21House of Blues Cleveland - ClevelandRating: 5 out of 5

Opening band Plush was a great surprise, very talented band, really enjoyed them. Mammorh was absolutely amazing, sounded great, crowd interaction was very good, it was an honor to see them in a small venue before they are only playing arenas.

  • Excellent, a really LIVE band !

by Pgh Geordie on 8/10/21House of Blues Cleveland - ClevelandRating: 5 out of 5

Great sound at House of Blues. Wolfie and band were very tight and solid, and they look to be enjoying their tour and adding new songs when they can.

  • Opening for Guns in Detroit.

    by M. on 8/9/21Rating: 5 out of 5

I knew going in that his album was one of the best I've heard in the last decade. That being said I had no idea that he (they) would kill it live the way they did. Other than, obviously Wolfgang, the drummer was incredible! Will never miss him in Detroit again. HUGE fan now, my kids fricking loved him to btw, 9&14

  • Guns n Roses Concert with Mammoth WVH

    by Kim G. on 8/1/21Rating: 5 out of 5

Opening band Mammoth was great. They have a ways to go but I think they will make it all the way to the top. The next day we looked up what the WVH stood for… Rock Royalty. Does Wolfgang Van Halen ring a bell? Yes!!! Eddie Van Halen’s son. Worth the ticket price. And we won’t make that mistake again. New album already downloaded. Oh, GNR killed it….!

  • Tonight’s Gonna Be a Good Night
