About

SHUCKED is the Tony Award®-winning musical comedy The Wall Street Journal calls "flat out hilarious!" And nobody knows funny like economists. Featuring a book by Tony Award winner Robert Horn (Tootsie), a score by the Grammy® Award-winning songwriting team of Brandy Clark and Shane McAnally (Kacey Musgraves' "Follow Your Arrow"), and directed by Tony Award winner Jack O'Brien (Hairspray), this corn-fed, corn-bred American musical is sure to satisfy your appetite for great musical theater.

Run time: 2 hours and 15 minutes including intermission. SHUCKED is recommended for ages 10+.

SHUCKED contains adult themes, moments of adult language and a harvest of corny innuendo.

This show kept me laughing, pulled on my heart strings, and had some great catchy songs to boot.

  • A cute attempt, but it didn't quite make it

by Wild Blueberry on 4/21/25Citizens Opera House - BostonRating: 2 out of 5

It was entertaining...enough...but only when you lower your expectations significantly. I honestly don't quite understand how this show made it to the Broadway stage when there are so many other ideas out there. The performers were good which saved the experience, but this was pretty mediocre in every other way.

  • Very entertaining show!

The show was FUN! The cast was extremely talented! The singing was AMAZING....and they pulled off the punchlines with perfection! We thoroughly enjoyed the show!

  • Male lead ruins performance

by Musicallover on 4/15/25Citizens Opera House - BostonRating: 3 out of 5

This was a tragic experience. The female leads were exceptional - especially LuLu - but the actor who played Beau was bad. Like really, really bad. His voice wasn’t good enough for a high school performance. I cannot imagine why he was cast as the lead and it really ruined the entire show.

  • Shucked National tour

An incredible show, casted perfectly! Saw the show twice, and would see it again!

  • You asked for it!

There's a saying "Tonight, you get what you paid for". And it couldn't be more true than with Shucked. You are going for 100% corn, and you get it. The stage is corny, the actors are corny, the plot is corny, and the jokes and puns are painfully corny. But the actors pour their hearts into the thin material, and show some real singing talent. Hamilton, this ain't. Pay for your seat, have a drink (or two) and sit back and just have fun for 2 hours. If you can't remember the plot when you leave, who cares?
