About

V-U2 An Immersive Concert Film is a one-of-a-kind cinematic experience shown exclusively at Sphere. The concert film, directed by Morleigh Steinberg and The Edge, showcases the history-making and future-defining U2:UV show that played to over 700,000 fans from 100+ countries across 40 sold-out dates from September 2023 through March 2024. V-U2 does not just capture U2’s epic run at Sphere, it allows audiences to feel like they are at the live shows.

V-U2 is the first film ever to be shot entirely with Big Sky, the groundbreaking ultra-high-resolution camera system developed by Sphere Entertainment. To create this larger-than-life concert film, a number of Big Sky cameras captured the band at extraordinary scale, sharpness, and clarity. V-U2 employs Sphere’s immersive technologies including the 160,000 sq. ft. display plane, which at 16k x 16k resolution is the world's highest-resolution LED screen; Sphere Immersive Sound, powered by HOLOPLOT, which provides crystal-clear sound to every seat in Sphere; and haptic seats, which use vibrations so guests can ‘feel’ the experience. All of these technologies will be leveraged in V-U2 in new and different ways to reinforce the feeling of being there.

  • MOST AMAZING EXPERIENCE I'VE BEEN TO.

    by OddCarl.com on 5/23/25Sphere - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

I really don't have words for what the U2UV show was. It was the pinnacle of a sit-down experience. I was visiting Las Vegas for the Licensing Expo for OddCarl.com and decided to go to the Sphere to see one of my favorite bands, U2. It looked like the guys were right there playing. The visuals were spectacular, the sound was pristine, and the music, well, it's U2 🎶😎 Amazing!

  • Mindblowing

by Tilapia on 5/23/25Sphere - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

Amazing....terrifying....messes with your mind. On a scale like nothing I have seen before. Despite the fact that it was not U2...your.mind will tell you otherwise. Tickets were pricey.....but it was fabulous.

  • Fabulous!

by Luke on 5/18/25Sphere - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

So close to as good as seeing them live. My only complaint - I wanted it to go much longer. Highly recommend.

  • A bit of a let down

by Franck on 5/18/25Sphere - Las VegasRating: 3 out of 5

The infrastructure and the tech are impressive but the experience was lacking the emotions and excitement I got at a real U2 concert. The place was 80% empty and you know it is just a movie and it is not the real thing, so it feels weird to applaud a computer rendering. No soul, no emotion. Technically impressive, but fell short of my expectations. At $200 a ticket, I would have been better off buying a VR headset for an immersive experience.

  • Good, not great

by Matty on 5/18/25Sphere - Las VegasRating: 3 out of 5

So first of all when you go to buy your tickets. They are going to tell you there are only a few left. That is not true. The place wasn’t even half full. Though there are moments when you feel like you were at a live concert and U2 was right there. It wasn’t consistent enough to be amazing and there were times when the sound quality was not that great. Great idea average delivery. I was disappointed.

  • U2 concert film at the Sphere

by Bergie on 5/18/25Sphere - Las VegasRating: 4 out of 5

Pros: The Sphere is an incredible venue. The high definition visuals made it appear as if you were actually at the original concert. Had the other spectators been more excited, it could’ve passed off as being almost as good as the actual concert. I’m a huge U2 fan and got chills during a number of the songs as they played. The audio and visual experience were top notch. Cons: The show was advertised as being 82 minutes long. It ended up only being 72 minutes long with probably 5-6 minutes of that being credits rolling. I would’ve appreciated more honesty around the actual duration of the event as it was barely over an hour. If it were 30 minutes longer, it would’ve been perfect.

  • Vodooy

by Deb on 5/10/25Sphere - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

I really have no words to describe magic. I was watching while watching the YouTube film. I swear I was watching the real thing. It’s the best concert I’ve never seen.

  • What happens in Vegas

  • Great experience!! Loved it!!

by It was just like being at the concert! on 5/9/25Sphere - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

The Sphere is a cool venue. There are no bad seats. In fact being up higher gives you an amazing experience. I would go back again for sure!!

  • Good show, well produced

    by GailK14 on 5/3/25Sphere - Las VegasRating: 4 out of 5

Enjoyed this, the Sphere as a venue is amazing. The production of this film was outstanding. The band themselves missed playing some of the big songs that helped them become famous. That was the only disappointment.

  • Good experience

by Hermon on 5/3/25Sphere - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

The visual effects wee amazing, felt like they were live on stages. Sound was clean and clear, but wish it was louder with more bass to feel like a real concert.

  • Extraordinay

by Dr Leonardo Alves on 5/2/25Sphere - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

Amazing experience in Sphere watching U2. Like real live performance. Must be seen…

  • Awesome but plan

by Vacay Ann on 5/2/25Sphere - Las VegasRating: 5 out of 5

Lower 400 section/407 great view! Great show! Take monorail to Harrah’s .($26 all day use for 2 people) starts at MGM with numerous stops. Then 20 minute walk , will need GPS for walking as not marked “ to get to sphere”. Or uber , but they don’t do pick up there after the show . Plan on arriving 45”-60” early .to see robot and get in line . Plan more time if walking in case you get lost !

  • Awesome experience, worthy every penny!
