CHAKA KHAN IN CONCERT:
The Queen of Funk has no equal: Chaka Khan is, indeed, a living legend. Her live performances are energetic histories of her four-decade long career in music -- from her funk days through her jazz and R&B heydays. Her profound voice carries her fans "Through the Fire," and "Ain't Nobody" loves them better than Chaka. Although Chaka's appearances are less frequent than in her heyday, she delivered big at her 2013 shows, wowing fans and building excitement for her select dates in 2014. Make no mistake: she's got it. She's still got it.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Chicago-born Yvette Marie Stevens came up in rough South Side housing projects before she rose to fame under the name Chaka Khan. Her grandmother introduced her to jazz music at an early age and instilled a life-long love of the genre. As she grew up, she bounced around all-girl singing groups and small bands before joining the Black Panthers and changing her name. While performing in a local band in 1972, she was poached by a new group called Rufus, and with her at the lead, the group signed a major contract with ABC Records just a year later. After several years with Rufus, she proved to be just as talented on her own with the 1978 solo debut Chaka, featuring the ubiquitous hit “I’m Every Woman”. All said and done, she has won ten Grammys and sold over 200 million records worldwide.
FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:
"She is a gift of 'honey for the ears!' No one will ever match her talent! We are so fortunate that she shares her gift with the world, and that she has been blessed with an unchanging voice."
"As expected, Chaka torn it up and I couldn't get enough even though she sang for over an hour and a half. I loved every minute of it."
"Very relaxing show! She is a loving artist! Performance great!"

She was awesome and her usual Chaka performance that we have enjoyed for decades
This wasn’t just a concert—it was a once-in-a-lifetime spectacle that will be etched in my memory for decades! To witness the sheer brilliance of four legendary queens, each reigning supreme with unmatched talent, was nothing short of breathtaking. They sang the soundtrack of our lives with the same passion, power, and soul that made those songs timeless in the first place. Gladys—grace, class, and a voice that transcends time! Stephanie—unstoppable energy, full-throttle charisma, and grooves that got the entire crowd moving! Patti—the queen of dramatic flair! Shoes were off, hair was iconic, and the music? Absolutely flawless! Chaka—an all-time favorite. "Ain't Nobody"commands a stage like her, and she can "Tell Me Something Good"any day of the week! This was more than just a show—it was a historic celebration of music, soul, and pure magic. If you weren’t there, you missed out on an unforgettable night!
It took them a few minutes to realize we could not here Gladys. But after that I thought that each of them were awesome! They touched on all of their hits. I totally enjoyed the entire concert. The line to come in went quick. We didn't have to wait long to get snacks either. We loved our picture even though Patti was missing. This was only the second time coming to Heritage Bank and the first time was New Edition and it went great too!! So I enjoyed the performers and the venue!! I hope everyone keeps up the good work. You have a reputation to uphold now! I appreciate the helpful employees too!
Great show by All the Queens. The vibe, the atmosphere, the singing, the music, the people, the venue were all fantastic!
The venue is not the easiest to locate. Not too accessible and convenient for the handicapped. Sound system could be better, and seating on the floor is too close together. Overall...not withstanding the issues listed above, I still enjoyed everyone on the show.
It was an amazing show. There were some sound issues at the beginning of the show and a couple others n the show, but c'mon, it was definitely still a GREAT show. Just seeing Gladys Knight, Stephanie Mills, Patti LaBelle and Chaka Khan all performing on the stage in one night was definitely an awesome experience.
A trip down memory lane for me. The music and dancers was an added attraction to her stage performance.
This was one of the best concerts I had ever been to
This was my mom's first concert in 30+ years and she had a blast. We had fantastic seats for the venue and short walk from the main doors and brief steps. Sound system was a little loud but music was amazing. Gladys was magnificent. Patti was in her element. Stephanie Mills should have had more time on the stage.and Chaka was fun too. If you get a chance go see them.
My husband and I enjoyed the concert. We left on Chaka Khan second song. She should have come out strong with her old songs that everyone loves to hear her sing. This was my first time seeing her in concert. I don't have to go see her again. Gladys, Patti, and Stephanie gave us a beautiful show. Enjoyed these three ladies it was worth standing in a very long line.
