Dave Matthews Band in Concert
With a career spanning more than 27 years, Dave Matthews Band is one of the most influential bands in rock history. In 1991, vocalist/guitarist Dave Matthews decided to put some songs he had written on tape and sought the assistance of drummer Carter Beauford and saxophonist LeRoi Moore, who were both accomplished jazz musicians in the local Charlottesville, VA music scene. 16-year-old bassist Stefan Lessard came on board shortly thereafter. Their infectious, distinctive sound garnered lots of early attention and a die-hard loyal fan base, catapulting the band into one of the most successful touring acts of the past three decades.
The group has since released nine studio albums and numerous live recordings, selling a collective 38 million CDs and DVDs combined since the 1994 release of its major label debut, Under the Table and Dreaming. The GRAMMY®-winning band's many hits include "What Would You Say," "Crash Into Me," "Too Much," "Everyday," "American Baby," "Funny The Way It Is," "Mercy" and "Samurai Cop (Oh Joy Begin)."
Founding member LeRoi Moore passed away in August of 2008 and the band paid tribute to him with 2009's Platinum-certified Big Whiskey and the GrooGrux King. Dave Matthews Band has since welcomed longtime collaborators/touring musicians Jeff Coffin (saxophone), Rashawn Ross (horns) and Tim Reynolds (guitar) into the lineup and - most recently - keyboardist Buddy Strong.
With 2018's Come Tomorrow, Dave Matthews Band became the first group in history to have seven consecutive studio albums debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200. In a Critic's Pick review, The New York Times observed, "willed optimism fills the songs on 'Come Tomorrow,' while cynicism and irony are nowhere within earshot... each song notes the fears and sorrows it's determined to overcome. The music does that, with consolation in its melodies and a life force in its rhythms."
Renowned for their live performances, Dave Matthews Band has sold over 24 million tickets since its inception and ranked as the biggest ticket seller worldwide of the past decade. The group's Bama Works Fund, established in 1999, has raised more than $52 million dollars for humanitarian and environmental initiatives.

It was a great show and the workers where very respectful and helpful and the food was very good
Attending my first Dave Matthews Band concert at the PNC Bank Arts Center was an unforgettable experience. From the moment the band hit the stage, the energy in the venue was electric. The lighting and visuals were stunning, creating an immersive atmosphere that perfectly complemented the band’s performance. The crowd’s excitement was contagious, and it was clear that everyone was deeply connected to the music. Dave Matthews and his band delivered an incredible show, with an amazing blend of classic hits and newer tracks. The crowd sang along to every word, especially during iconic songs like “Crash Into Me.” The band’s chemistry was undeniable, and each member showcased their incredible talent, particularly during the extended jam sessions. The night was a perfect mix of emotional depth, musical virtuosity, and pure energy, making it a concert I’ll never forget.
Dave and team put a great performance. However, the sound quality was terrible from my seats. I was 4 rows back from the stage, dead center and it was a cacophony, just terrible. I haven’t sat this close prior at PNC so I don’t know what is normal there. Generally sound quality was fine from seats further back in my experience from previous shows.
This was my first time seeing DMB with a violin player and OMG, was it amazing!!!! I've been to quite a few shows and this was my favorite one. The venue was great, setlist was great, overall incredible night!
I haven't seen Dave since 2002, he's not as chatty as he once has (or atleast during this show) but he still sounds the same and had the same energy as always. Play set was a mixture of old and new songs, I wish it was more old than new but it was still awesome. Definitely worth the ticket of admission.
Great evening started dry then on again off agin light rain did damper the crowd it was kind of crowd pleasing. The band just continued to play on. Missed my first 2 attempts to see them and wasn’t gonna make it 3, and so glad I didn’t.
This was one of the all time best shows that I have ever had the pleasure of attending. The band was on point with a banger setlist. I will remember this one.
Great concert! Weird pauses in between songs but loved the set list and the jam sessions!
DMB’s still got it, great set and we had a great time!
