About

Known as the sexy bad boys of the R&B scene, Jodeci is made up of Jo-Jo Hailey, Donald “DeVante Swing” DeGrate and Cedric “K-Ci” Hailey, with Dalvin DeGrate joining at a later date. No strangers to success, Jodeci’s smooth sounds have been topping the charts since the early 90s, when they released Forever My Lady. The album featured the gold single, “Come and Talk to Me,” and sold over three million copies. They belt out powerful ballads and jazzy love songs with seductive beats that concertgoers can’t help but sway along to at their live shows. Their tours have been selling out across the country since the early 90s, and the band continues to shine during their reunions. They radiate energy and wrap the audience in their smooth, soulful sounds.

The foursome are natives of North Carolina, and their music is heavily influenced by their experience singing gospel music as youngsters. Rapper Heavy D was instrumental in the band’s success, convincing Uptown president Andre Harrell into signing them after hearing their demo. It’s hard to miss the enormous talent evident in each of their three records, but "Forever My Lady" was definitely their initial ticket to success. On the band’s third album The Show, the After-Party, the Hotel they were able to work with R&B legend Al Green on the song “Could This Be the Love.” Jodeci's sound is admired in many different musical circuits, from R&B to soul to gospel to easy listening, and their fans applaud their musical prowess and ability to pump so much sexy magic into each of their songs.

Saw the show at Yaamava theater. There was no opener for Jodeci so the show started at 9 they performed for about 1 hour. I felt that I overpaid to see them when the band was louder than them singing. The Vibe of there Music was off. As they played snippets of there hits. Was it worth the money of the tickets No.

This was my first time seeing Jodeci in concert! They were my favorite R&B male group as a young adult. They’re music and lyrics hit in many ways. And, JoJo’s testimony was a Blessing how through the good, bad and ugly he acknowledged how good God is!

  • Great Show Took Me Back to Middle School!

by Kris on 3/31/25The Venue at Thunder Valley Casino Resort - LincolnRating: 4 out of 5

Excellent show! Very nostalgic. Father MC started the show on time and I appreciated that. Love that he and Heavy D (RIP) were rappers back in the 90's that showed love and respect for women. We don't get that nowadays. Then, En Vogue did the thang! They were really "Born to Sing!"LOL. The headliner, Jodeci, did great. I wish JoJo would have sang more but he didn't I guess because of recurring health problems but he did sing a little. K-Ci and Mr. Dalvin were the ones really carrying the show with LOTS of energy--especially K-Ci. I wish they would've sang "I'm Still Waiting,""All My Life,""You Bring Me Up,""How Could You"and "Love Always,"but I get it--time constraints and most of those songs were not Jodeci but K-Ci and JoJo. JoJo to be honest seemed OVER it and Devante was just there in my opinion but overall, grate show.

Jodeci put on an excellent show! Their energy was great! The classic sound took me way back to the 90's!! I enjoyed every minute of it!

  • EnVogue Awesome! Sound bad.

by Bon on 3/31/25The Venue at Thunder Valley Casino Resort - LincolnRating: 3 out of 5

EnVogue was awesome!! However, as usual the sound/music was too loud and overpowered the voices of the performers.

  • Could have been Better

by Sweet T on 3/31/25The Venue at Thunder Valley Casino Resort - LincolnRating: 3 out of 5

I attended the Jodeci Concert and felt that the Jodeci portion of the event could have been better. It felt like the band was over powering the vocals of the group.

  • Good Concert

The only criticism is the 36 minute gap between the end of En Vogue’s performance to the start of Jodeci’s performance. Otherwise it was a good concert. We were very impressed with En Vogue sounding amazing with their vocals. Jodeci sounded great also.

  • Absolutely Amazing!

EnVogue and Jodeci out on a flawless show, the band, the dancing, singing, crowd interaction was just top notch! I would see them again and again, they put it everything they had and their voices are still flawless!
