Known as the sexy bad boys of the R&B scene, Jodeci is made up of Jo-Jo Hailey, Donald “DeVante Swing” DeGrate and Cedric “K-Ci” Hailey, with Dalvin DeGrate joining at a later date. No strangers to success, Jodeci’s smooth sounds have been topping the charts since the early 90s, when they released Forever My Lady. The album featured the gold single, “Come and Talk to Me,” and sold over three million copies. They belt out powerful ballads and jazzy love songs with seductive beats that concertgoers can’t help but sway along to at their live shows. Their tours have been selling out across the country since the early 90s, and the band continues to shine during their reunions. They radiate energy and wrap the audience in their smooth, soulful sounds.
The foursome are natives of North Carolina, and their music is heavily influenced by their experience singing gospel music as youngsters. Rapper Heavy D was instrumental in the band’s success, convincing Uptown president Andre Harrell into signing them after hearing their demo. It’s hard to miss the enormous talent evident in each of their three records, but "Forever My Lady" was definitely their initial ticket to success. On the band’s third album The Show, the After-Party, the Hotel they were able to work with R&B legend Al Green on the song “Could This Be the Love.” Jodeci's sound is admired in many different musical circuits, from R&B to soul to gospel to easy listening, and their fans applaud their musical prowess and ability to pump so much sexy magic into each of their songs.

Jodeci has always been one of my favorite groups, but I've never in my life experienced a performance where there were so many breaks taken in between songs. The group did not really sing it was only a show of KC in his voice, which was amazing BUT Joe joe looked like he didn't want to be on stage and Devante didn't do anything except talk. Which made me think why he was even there. I'm a fan, but I would never go to another one of their concerts.
Concert was so much fun! They all sounded great! It really took me way back!
The site, The Luxor, had the entrance to parking from The Strip blocked off and the staff standing around couldn't tell us why or how to get to another entrance. We drove around for 30 mins before finding the parking garage. Then, at the entrance to House of Blues ( at 7:45pm when the show was supposed to start at 7:30) the line was wrapped around the casino floor for what seemed like a mile. I thought about it and wondered why we had to wait so long if we had assigned seats so i asked the guy taking the tickets at the entrance and he agreed that we didn't have to. that was a lucky break but staff should have been announcing that and not allowing people to wait unnecessarily. Then, the show didn't start until 9pm. The show itself was okay. I was super excited to see the group and they did a decent job, but they all wore hats so if you were sitting above the stage which the majority were, we never got to see their faces. smh
I love, love, love Jodeci, since I first heard them on the radio in 1992, I believe when I was in high school. I've had the pleasure to see them perform as the opening act with Uncle Charlie and for New Edition a few years ago in Chicago. Now, I was able to see them in person and just them at the new Hard Rock Casino in Gary, IN. It was wonderful to hear and see K.C. and Mr. Dalvin perform. It was announced that Jojo was suffering from illness. Praying for him. And Devante was unable to make his flight. That's questionable. Anyhow, I enjoyed the concert with just 2 of the members. They sang all of their songs. Some the entire song, most snippets. K.C. even testified about his struggles and life changing health issue. And then he came into and walked among the audience. I would see them again. The price wasn't bad. I didn't purchase the more expensive seating, and the seats I had were great and you could see the stage well.
Wanted to celebrate my friend Mary's 65th birthday and celebrate we did!! had a really great time Jodeci put on a good show!
Jodeci put on a great show at the MGM National Harbor considering they were missing two members. I will attend another Jodeci show because they are one of my favorite bands and actually put in a decent show. However, they really need to start disclosing when members are not going to be present so us consumers can make informed decisions. Jodeci is a quartet, not a duo, and I paid to see a quartet. Furthermore, they need to realize how each of their members are an integral part if the show, even if it's just for the vibe. The show was also super short, I mean 1 hr. It should have been at least 2.
I really enjoyed the show. I had great seats and concert location was beautiful. I just wish all the members were performing. Get well JoJo.
The show was good but only 2 of 4 members showed up. Kci sang all the songs alone which was still good but I paid to see all 4. They just looked tired.
Dont waste your time & money. Mgm sep 1 Only kc sang jojo & devante were missing dalvin danced. So disappointed. Less than an hr show. Just listen to thr albums.
KC and Dalvin tried to give us a show but they unfortunately were not successful. Devante could have stayed home. He stood with his back to the audience for most of the show. To be honest, he wasn't needed on stage. Get well soon JoJo 🖤
Really enjoyed singing my favorite songs. Seeing the guys still together was great to see.
Lead singer JoJo came out with KC and another member of the group for 2-3 minutes and then he was ghost and never performed.
Jodeci and Next Concert was Soo Good . I had a blast for my Birthday Saturday Night!
We enjoyed ourselves and it looked like everyone else did too , KC still got it.
I was disappointed because the last time I came to see jodeci at mgm jojo was drunk and didn’t sing much but Devonte helped k ci out a lot. This time jojo made an appearance then never returned poor k ci had to do the entire sow by hisself because dalvin was just a hype man smh
Job well done❣️I was so hype to see them live..Another one in the books🌟
I had a ball! They might be older but they still got IT!
Jodeci was epic! Even with one of the members missing, it was still a phenomenal concert! They literally sang almost everything from their greatest hits, which was all of them!
KCi and Mr. Dalvin held it down for Jodeci!!! They gave 1000%. KCi SANG them hits and Mr Davin was right there. Dalvin’s stage presence helped to try and fill the impossible gaps of JoJo and Devante. I’d seen Jodeci a few years back (Filmore in MD) and was hesitant to try again (IYKYK). I’m SO glad I tried again because I love their music (soundtrack to my college years). But after reading reviews (after show), it seems pretty apparent that life events makes Jodeci a two man show more days than not. I understand and truly miss seeing JoJo and Devante. But KCi and Dalvin gave us a SHOW and flowers to all members for sharing ALL their gifts over the years.
