Enjoyed the show. Leonid certainly gives you your money’s worth. Sound quality was sub standard but I attribute that to the venue and not the group. The girl’s solo was a bit much. She’s much better doing backup vocals. Trying to sell a sweatshirt for $1000US was tacky. First of all, we are in Canada (USD, really?) and secondly, a sweatshirt for $1600 CAD? Come on. Let’s get serious here. The rest was good and I would consider going to see them again.
We have been to several shows at the Casino de Montreal and it's the first time we are disappointed and feel cheated. The others shows were all 4 stars rating and up. Firstly we reserved a table for 6, and the floor layout was changed to individual orchestra seats where you could hardly see the stage. We would have been much better off with the cheaper tickets in the back where there is a raised incline with unobstructed views to the stage. This is completely false advertising. Secondly what was even more disappointing is we came to see a tribute to Chicago and out of 10 of their all time greatest hits they only played 2 or 3 of the songs and diluted the show with songs that have absolutely nothing to do with Chicago. We kept waiting all night but the great songs were never played. Unlike the other shows at the Casino there was also a very long unnecessary intermission and the selling of a fund raiser jersey which really killed the mood of the entire evening. Very Disappointing!
Besides the venue being terrific, Leonid & Friends does not disappoint. Truly wonder musical talent! I will see them again! Bring them back to Montreal !
So thrilled they came to Canada and we were able to see them in person. Well worth it, richness and quality of sound of real instruments which is sorely missed these days!! Also played Earth,Wind &Fire, Tower of Power and Lighthouse!
I like bend and music, definitly very talented people, but sound quality in Pickering casino was terrible especially vocals, a lot of distortion, my guess they did not have time to check and setup sound properly before perfomance
A fabulous show by a fabulous group of musicians that we've been waiting to see ever since they started touring on this continent. The show was so entertaining that the time flew by. What a terrific mix of music from many megastars in the business. Highlight for us was a powerful rendition of "One Fine Morning"by the legendary Canadian band Lighthouse. Leonid and Friends blew us away when they then introduced several members of Lighthouse who were in the audience, including Lighthouse co-founder Paul Hoffert ! What a moment !! We can't wait for Leonid and Friends to return to the Toronto area for another show! Bravo !!!
Leonid and Friends was one of the best concerts I've ever been to, and I've been to lots! They're super talented, and fun, and I would go again in a heartbeat.
Leonid & Friends are a 1st class tribute band! Their set list was superb, all the variety of songs I recognized from my youth! The musicians were a united nation of players from different countries, not just Russia. The Wilbur Theater in Boston, however, was the worst. Uncomfortable bar stool seats, with limited views of the stage if you didn't have front row seats in the particular sections. Accessibility (although I don't need it, yet!) is non-existent, especially to the basement bathrooms. The serves and staff were great though.
Leonid and Friends are an incredible group of musicians. They provide a high enery show playing the hits from a number of different bands. Their dedication to presevring this music, while spreading their message of peace and friendship is to be applauded.
