June 1st, The Knitting Factory in Spokane WA. Melvins brought down the roof!
The beers were flowing, the pit was moving, and it was a happy little guy.
Another great show! All three bands killed it! Melvins, Boris and mr phz
Absolutely great performance by both bands! This was originally scheduled to be on Saturday, but was moved to a Monday. Five stars for the show, one star for the date change. I was supposed to go with friends who both canceled because of the date change. I was wavering on canceling and getting a refund myself but ended up rallying. Almost seems like whoever was making scheduling decisions was actively discouraging people from seeing this show and came off as lack of consideration for the attendees. Hopefully, it was for a legitimate reason, as I know one of the Melvins members is going through a health concern. If not, it seems entirely on-brand for this promoter to find new ways to stick it to music fans.
Seen the Melvinās from a distance 2x but this show at Howard in DC was first chance to see them up close, soaking in all the syrupy glory. What a sound! The alternate drummer they had (sorry canāt remember his name) was just fantastic - hits the drums with such force. Bass player was super fun, almost prog metal at times. And then Buzz, well, heās a freak in all the best ways. My only complaint was Melvins should have clearly been the headliner. Even still, one of my top all time shows and Iāve seen many. Hope they come back!!
The show was fantastic, both The Melvins and Boris are beyond great musicians, all I can say is WOW! I'm so glad I got to see the, both. Great venue, smaller, intimate and great acoustics.
Cody slayed them drums. Steve was extra Steve. Buzzo was all business. Missed seeing Dale. Still a Great Show.
Exactly what I wanted out of their show. Great performances by all 3 of them, played some favorites with a few deep cuts. Gonna try to see them again on this same tour!
Great venue, great beer selection, and the band was amazing. The opening band was even awesome. This was my first time at this venue but I will definitely return to see any shows like this one.
So glad they came to a place like Jackson, MS where we rarely get to see bands like this. Great show and hope they come back.
