RICK SPRINGFIELD IN CONCERT:

Rock superstar Rick Springfield has been wooing audiences with his polished voice and leading-man looks ever since his rise to fame in the early '70s. More than four decades later, he looks and sounds as good as ever, treating fans to an unforgettable evening of solo performance and storytelling on his Stripped Down tour. Taking time between each song to relay the touching and humorous stories that inspired them, Springfield has proven that his talents as an entertainer extend well beyond his musical abilities. Whether fans catch him solo or performing with a full band, they can count on plenty of showmanship and charisma as he works his way through nostalgic hits like "Jesse's Girl" and "Don't Talk to Strangers."

BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:

Australian-born Rick Springfield began playing the guitar at age 13, cutting his teeth in several bands in England after his army officer father relocated the family there in 1958. After a stint fronting the British band Zoot in the late '60s, Springfield launched his solo career in 1971 with debut single "Speak to the Sky," a Top 10 hit in his native Australia. After releasing several moderately successful albums in the '70s, Springfield hit his stride in 1981 with Working Class Dog, a massive success propelled by the No. 1 hit "Jesse's Girl." 1982's My Success Hasn't Spoiled Yet fared similarly, landing at No. 2 on the Billboard 200 and spawning several more hit singles. A veteran showman with four decades of touring under his belt, Springfield returns to the road once again for a string of highly anticipated tour dates.

FANS WHO BOUGHT TICKETS SAY:

"Loved the more intimate setting of just Rick, loved the stories mixed in with the songs."

"Rick sounds great! He tells the stories behind the songs. So fun!"

"Not only was his music incredible, but his stories and humor made the evening a blast for our group of six!"

  • Awesome Concert

by Robochop on 6/10/25Portsmouth Pavilion - PortsmouthRating: 5 out of 5

After all these years, these guys can still bring it on! All bands were great, but Rick Springfield put on the best show. He always interacts with the crowd and gets them going, what a great person. He is also not afraid to tell his fans how he is feeling and what he believes in! I know WE are all getting older, but I hope these guys keep rockin on!!!

  • Perfection

by Tonda on 6/10/25Allianz Amphitheater at Riverfront - RichmondRating: 5 out of 5

I went to this concert to see John Waite. John Waite put on an amazing performance. John never disappoints his fans. John Cafferty and Wang Chung were good. Rick Springfield brought his fans to their feet and had them all rocking. I would definitely go see this lineup again. Totally rock and roll

This concert was awesome. I loved the big screen behind the band when the music was playing, it showed flash backs and his acting career. It was full of energy. I would definitely go see him again. It was well worth the money.

  • Excellent venue needs tweaking on food trucks

by CJ on 6/10/25Allianz Amphitheater at Riverfront - RichmondRating: 4 out of 5

The new Allianz Riverfront Ampitheater is great. Turns out there is No bad seats. Looking forward to my next concert there. On another note - got bar-b-q from a food truck only to have to return it because the bread was moldy. Did not ask for another. Need to monitor better and possibly have more choices.
