Soulja Boy on Tour
When Soulja Boy Tell ‘Em released his 2007 debut single, “Crank That (Soulja Boy),” the 17-year-old rapper became an instant hit - and something of a viral pioneer. With its booming bass, slick snaps and steelpan loop, the song began blowing up flip phones (remember ringtones?) and its music video inspired millions to learn the Soulja Boy dance. But he’s proven to be far more than a flash-in-the-pan internet sensation. The Grammy-nominated artist still brings that infectious energy to the stage. In his early years, he learned from the best, touring alongside some of the biggest rappers in the biz, including Lil Wayne, Young Jeezy, Rick Ross and Drake. Even after a stint in jail and the transition back to being an independent artist - releasing material on his own record label, Stacks on Deck Entertainment (SODMG) - Soulja Boy continues to bring in the crowds with appearances at major hip-hop events including The Millennium Tour 2021.
About Soulja Boy
Soulja Boy Tell ‘Em has been magnetic from the start, creating one of the 21st century’s biggest rap hits and funnest dance fads at age 17. It’s not easy to eclipse such a massive debut hit at such a young age, but the Chicago-born rapper has gone on to show he has far more snappy moves up his sleeve. Born DeAndre Cortez Way in 1990, the future star bounced from Chicago to Atlanta to Batesville, Mississippi, where he began making music and posting songs online. Within a few months of recording “Crank That” and releasing his first album, the aptly titled Unsigned & Still Major: Da Album Before Da Album, Way signed to Interscope Records and saw his self-produced song fly up to the top of the Billboard Hot 100. His major label debut, 2007’s Souljaboytellem.com, came out just over six months after “Crank That” first hit the web. Soulja Boy was nominated for Best Rap Song, but had plenty to live up to after that rapid rise to the top. He came through with a number of successful singles, including “Kiss Me Thru the Phone,” and “Pretty Boy Swag.” But he’s made just as much a name for himself as a producer, actor, fashion designer, video game console creator and prolific mixtape maker. He’s still a powerful force on social media, too, racking up well over a billion YouTube views.

I had such an amazing time at this concert! Ticketmaster made it so easy to secure tickets! Soulja Boy was amazing too and so were all the openers! Great experience
It felt more like a house party rather than a concert. Also i ordered two meet and greet tickets through ticket master and they both were shown on my phone. Venue did not honor both tickets that were purchased. even after shown receipts and actual tickets.
2 hours worth of openers. there was about 5 or 6 of them. then soulja came out for only a 40 minute performance :(
We paid for meet and greet tickets and couldn't even have a genuine conversation with Soulja Boy. He just seemed like he was trying to rush through the photos with fans and his crew was very aggressive, got in my Trishawn's face just for chatting with Soulja. Not only that but they pushed me as we were walking away. Tell how it's acceptable for a tall, large grown man to push a small, short woman especially if I am already walking away? The environment felt hostile. Most of the fans there only knew Soulja Boy's viral songs and nothing else. No offense to Soulja Boy but I did not expect this dude to look the way he did up close. At this point, is he a robot or a clone? Highly disappointed and depressed after this show. Trishawn looked up to you for years and supported you. This is how you treat your fans? You only care about money. I cannot even begin to express the utter disappointment we both experienced, especially Trishawn. He actually cried after he met you, his heart was broken. Soulja Boy, please do better for your fans.
the experience getting into the venue & through security & check in was smooth & easy & made me very confident in rialto theater. what a great venue! however. i arrived at 7:30, half an hour after the doors opened, & the start time for the show was 8:00 at 8:30 an opener that was not stated in any promotional material for this show came out. after that. another opener came out, it was now nearly 9:30 & my friends & i were growing tired & unsure whether or not the main act would even make an appearance. at 9:30 another opener came out &told the crowd soulja boy was held up at eegees & asked if he could perform & he was booed & proceeded on with his opener. my friends & i left at nearly 10 & were told that soulja boy didn’t come on until 11 PM. three hours after the advertised start time. i would think a washed up pop star would want to be prompt & put on a good show in order to keep the small fan base he still has & that clearly was not the case. disappointed. not surprised. give this show a miss unless you’re willing to get hammered just to get through three awful openers & then sit through an even worse show.
Wayyyyy too many opening acts. None of any substance… There were at least 8. I lost count. Event started at 8:30, Soulja Boy didn’t come out till 10:15.. by 10:45 we were leaving.
really fun show!! the only downside was that everybody started chanting his name and booing while we waited on him to come out & he didn’t get on stage till around 10:00 and only performed for about 30 mins. good things take time ig… 🤷🏾♀️
Show was great and short maybe 30 mins. He got on stage at 930ish and was done by 10/1030. No complaints I enjoyed myself.
Hello, Middle school me is living! I had a great time at the Soulja boy concert. His energy was high the full performance and he started with banger and ended with bangers. Very good show and made me want to attend more in the future. The only downside of the performance was that it was literally 45mins, no exaggeration. I was expecting to be there for at least and hour but I then realized there was another artist performing at the same venue directly after he stopped performing so I'm assuming that had to do what the short performance time. A warning would've been nice but since the tix prices were customer friendly I guess we did get what we paid for. Overall great show, he's a legend . P.S. He didn't perform POW this show, so I was a little disappointed but I guess that's an excuse for me to go to another show
