STARS IN CONCERT:
Concertgoers are in for an emotional tour de force the minute indie pop collective Stars steps on stage. For more than two decades the he said-she-said dynamic of singers Torquill Campbell and Aimee Millan has been making fans swoon with sentimental bliss. Ticket buyers will be treated to highlights from the band's rich and diverse catalog of emotive tunes, from the heart-wrenching "Your Ex-Lover Is Dead" to the tender "Do You Want To Die Together?". The vulnerability behind Campbell and Milan's soft voices pairs seamlessly with the band's flourishing instrumentation, resulting in a strikingly raw live experience fans won't want to miss.
BACKGROUND SNAPSHOT:
Singer Torquill Campbell and keyboardist Christopher Seligman formed Stars in Toronto in 1998. The duo released their debut album Nightsongs in 2001 before rounding out their sound with bassist Evan Cranley, singer/guitarist Aimee Millan, and drummer Patrick McGee. Their sophomore effort, 2003's Heart, was a delicately crafted collection of chamber pop tunes that earned them a Juno nomination for Alternative Album of the Year and a co-headlining North American tour with Broken Social Scene. Their standout third album, 2004's Set Yourself On Fire, was recorded while the band lived under one roof during a harsh Canadian winter. The resulting set of melancholy tunes was critically praised and spawned some of the band's biggest hits to date including "Ageless Beauty" and "Your Ex-Lover Is Dead". Since then Stars has released six studio albums including 2012's electro pop-driven The North and 2014's surprisingly dance-heavy No One Is Lost.

Mind blowing energy. Superb sound. Very well behaved crowd. Made for an awesome night for busy parents who rarely get out. Oh, and I caught a flower, gave it to my love, and she was absolutely beaming!
Weird and not my style so for me not worth the money.
I’ve seen Stars at least a half dozen times now, but this was their best show yet. Great sound, nothing but killer songs all night, and some of the most enthusiastic and grateful performers you’ll ever see.
Stars are incredible performers putting out intense energy all night. In such an intimate venue, it made for a magical night.
We ad a great time. They were amazing live ! It was good decorated xmas on the stage. Can’t wait to see them again
I had next been to a Stars show before - lots of energy and fun atmosphere. Good times however opening band was terrible - but made Stars oh so much better! Good stuff - I recommend seeing them if you get a chance also check out list of songs they played on photo attached to review! :-)
Stars killed it, as per usual. They are absolutely my favorite live band, and always bring it, whether they're playing to 1000 people or 100.
I've been listening to Stars since August 2006, and finally made it to a show. They put on an amazing live set! Amy's voice is even more beautiful in person. The room was full of great energy, the venue was intimate, and it was honestly the most "at home" I've ever felt at a show. I look forward to seeing Stars again and hope they continue to make music and tour. I'd definitely come back to the underground in the future.
Wonderfully intimate show. Comfortable venue, though there could easily be more available seating at more reasonable prices. The sound system is great, loud but not painfully so, excellent deep end, good separation and clear vocals. Stars put on a great show with a set spanning just about every album. Wonderful.
So much energy and love!!! This is my fifth Stars show and every time gets better.
