Anthony Hamilton Background
Before getting his Grammy and churning out hits like "Charlene" and "Can't Let Go," Anthony Hamilton started singing from a young age and got his start in the church choir. Hamilton was born on January 28th, 1971, and is a native of Charlotte, North Carolina -- a core influence of his Southern neo-soul musical style. Hamilton also draws his musical influences from R&B greats, including Michael Jackson. After moving to New York City in the 1990s and moving between record labels, Hamilton finally created a name for himself with his fourth album in 2003, which featured the musical hit "Charlene." Hamilton's influence extends beyond music into the public sphere through his speaking and advocacy opportunities as a CASA spokesperson, which allows him to raise awareness about the foster care system.

Everything went smooth that day, getting to our seats. Getting merchandise, getting our drinks, going to our seats. Anthony was amazing in concert and then to meet him in person was the topping on the cake.. He was so pleasant and so personable, and just a very kind, warm, hearted soul of a person, so glad to meet him and so glad I got to see and then concert. 10 out of 10
Never disappointed! Always entertaining and soulful! He's family! #detroitlove ❤️
Horrible!!! Awful sound, stage change 20 minutes or more without curtain closed curtain open. Left halfway through show
Vivian Green looked amazing, put on a wonderful show, the sound was awful… Did they do a sound check at all? Robin Thicke was off the hook, full of energy great show…. Just wish I could have heard the actual vocals, cuz he was singing!!! Anthony Hamilton…. WOW!!! Excellent Show!!! The background group was bomb!!! When are the dropping a project? The sound had finally improved by the time they came on, so overall I had a great time but for the FOX the sound sucked.
Loved the concert , everyone did a wonderful job . Very entertaining
Anthony always gives good energy. He's humble and gives a great show.
Concert was over too soon. Having so many songs, it would've better had they stuck to THEIR songs & if the band wasn't louder than the singers. On my paid R&B night out, PLEASE, LEAVE OUT CHURCH SVC, PLEASE!!!
Anthony Hamilton never disappoints. He understands the assignment every time. His energy and effort is always on point. 🔥I saw The Ton3s!! Such a treat that elevated the show. Robin Thicke, I'd see again in a heartbeat. Consummate performer. I hate his act was cut short. Vivian sounded amazing. Overall this lineup was a winner.
I loved the concert! Vivian did her thing, Robin Thicke was the best in my opinion, BUT when Anthony came on stage and sang my jam, "Amazing,"I was so excited! I loved them all! We had a great time, floor seats!
