My wife and I along with another couple that are dear friends of ours, attended A KIRK WHALUM concert at the Scottish Cathedral in Reading, Pa. We throughly enjoyed ourselves. Brother Kiirk took time out to take pictures with us. This has been our third (3rd) concert at the Cathedral to see Brother Kirk Whalum. We hope he will be returning in 2025. The concerts are very inspiring as he honors God with his music.
2 unbelievable saxophonists performing separately & then together. The 2nd one that performed alone even performed in the aisles. What a thrill that was!
There has been excitement building since learning of the festival, but mostly knowing Kirk Whalum was performing in concert. I was introduced to his music by a cousin and I immediately fell in love with his style of jazz. The concert left me breathless!! The music was familiar, the sound was pure, and the artist was personable. I thoroughly enjoyed the concert, especially when he came off stage and stopped and played to me. The feel of the concert was intimate and genuine. I felt as though I had met him some time ago. If you ever get the chance to attend a Kirk Whalum concert, do so with enthusiasm. This will be worth your time. I will continue to listen to jazz in my office and bear the torch for a musician named Kirk Whalum.
The Kirk Whalum concert was fantastic! The venue was amazing. Couldn’t have been happier with the performance. Highly recommend his music. He just released a new CD.
My husband and I both enjoyed the show. The artist performing were very talented. I learned a lot about Jazz history and how well traveled the artists are. It was my first jazz concert, but it won't be my last. It was a GREAT 1st experience.
My husband and I had a great date night at this amazing concert!!!!! The length of entertainment was wonderful, then intermission and more amazing music. The only down was we had to sit in the back of the theatre. We paid for second row center seats but due to my husband’s height his legs were cramped against the chair in front of us. We moved to the back and he was on the isle so he could stretch out a bit. Other than that we both loved it.
My husband and I had a Fantastic time we truly enjoyed the show. Donald Harrison and Kirk Whalum were one of the best shows ever. TOTALLY AWESOME!
Great show! Just wish all artists had more time! Justin Lee Schultz and Family was great! I've been coming to see him since he was 12! and of course, Kirk Whalum did a phenomenal job! Truly entertaining
