Charlie Wilson Concert Schedule
The Gap Band alumnus and adult contemporary R&B superstar Charlie Wilson has been dazzling audiences and listeners with his sultry vocals since the takeoff of his solo career in the early 2000s. Charlie Wilson's tour dates feature an electrifying energy more akin to a tight-knit party than a sold-out concert, as seen in his 2017 In It To Win It Tour, his 2015 Forever Charlie Tour and his 2013 Love, Charlie Tour, among many others. Wilson is known for his smooth funk & soul singing style, which, combined with his talents as a songwriter, producer and keyboardist, has led to the creation of numerous R&B hits over his eight solo studio albums. On stage, Charlie puts on a show with an unmatched level of energy. He beckons crowds to take to their feet and feel the music as his band delivers with tightly composed rhythms and he serenades with his dulcet melodies. In addition to praise from fellow performers, Charlie Wilson's music has earned him 11 Grammy Award nominations, six NAACP Image Award nominations (along with one win for Outstanding Album), and numerous honors from BET, Billboard and Soul Train, along with acknowledgements from across the music industry and beyond.
Charlie Wilson Background
Charlie Wilson was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1953. The son of a Christian minister, he learned to play piano and sing in church, providing the musical background that led to the formation of The Gap Band with his brothers Ronnie and Robert. After the group announced their retirement in 2010, Charlie shifted his focus to concentrate on his solo career, becoming Billboard Magazine's No. 1 Adult R&B Artist and a breakout success. Wilson's first solo album, Bridging The Gap, came in 2000, earning him acclaim from the single "Without You." His follow-up release, Charlie, Last Name Wilson, went certified gold and produced the eponymous single (along with fellow R&B vocalist R. Kelly) by which he is most often known. In subsequent years, Charlie Wilson continued to release and chart on the Billboard Hot 200 and R&B/Hip-Hop charts and sold more than 1 million copies of his albums. Wilson has inspired generations of performers who also feature him on their own records. He was given the affectionate nickname "Uncle Charlie" by Snoop Dogg and collaborated with the rapper (and Justin Timberlake) on the 2013 track "Signs.

Great show from start to finish. Charlie was great, dancers were phenomenal, and Chrisette is a elegant young DIVA who can SANG!!
Uncle Charle was excellent and gave a very impressive performance. He had great vocals and looked good. Liked that he changed clothes. I really appreciated his band and dancers. The main background singer was superb and will one day be a headliner. The dancers were impeccable! They helped to make the show flawless. I also loved their attire!
Uncle Charlie put on an AMAZING show....I mean GREAT show... He performed for the full 2 hours and Imean danced the whole 2 hours straight...He is a GREAT performer and give you your monies worth... My husband and I was glad we went..
Don't get me wrong Cherelle and Alexandre O' Neal were alright just a little to back in the day for me, but Uncle Charlie was the BOMB!!!! Off the hook, right on time for us ole' school folks who just love good music. It was fun to reminise with Cherelle and O'neal but Charlie Wilson is a true entertainer and I wish him continued good health and blessings!!! If I make it back to Vegas next year I'll be at the concert but hope he have different opening acts.
I have to admit it - when Cherelle first came out - followed by Alexander...I thought to myself. These folks should NOT be on-stage with Charlie Wilson. However the last songs she sang with Alexander where soul stirring and when he got his old and talented ASS out in the crowd and danced and jammed and sang. It melted the coldness right out of my heart. Both of them have real talent and real SOUL. And deserve to be on tour. CHARLIE - brought it all home with almost 90min of song and entertainment and where did ya get those thick legged women. WOW!
I had to tell everyone that I knew that Uncle Charlie was absolutely "dynamite" & that I would see him again if the show came back to my area. I recommended everyone who inquired to definitely see him.
I had the best time, the show was worh every dime, the whole performance was perfect
Nobody does it better!! The man is UNTOUCHABLE!!! So Fly! So smooth! Old school, New school, it dont matter. Uncle Charlie's got it all! New schoolers got nuthin on Charlie!! ..I want more Charlie!! :-) ..Cant wait for the next one!
This entertainment line up was unbelievable. The energy was electrifying. Cherelle looked amazing, and sounded good to.Alexander Oneal was spectacular!!! I cant put it into words. He hasnt lost a step. I thought I was listening to one of his albums. Mr. Oneal you still got it. Last but certainly not least. Uncle Charlie Wilson brought the house down. I loved the stage presence. The costumes. Most of all his sense of humor. God bless Mr. Wilson. I would attend again if I had the chance. It reminded mehow great the music was back in the 80s. This is real music.
Charlie Wilson was incredible as usual! His energy, party attitude, and integration of his spiritual belief into his performance makes him the exceptional entertainer that he is. You can always depend on a great performance and feel as if you are part of it with Charlie Wilson.
The concert was great! I met Charlie Wilson a few hours prior, when he was walking through the hotel.
Show was awesome! Charlie did not need the opening acts...I could've watched him perform all night!
This was one of the best concerts I have ever been to. Charlie Wilson has unbelievable vocals. You can tell he doesn't use music equipment on his albums to make his voice sound better than he is. The choreography, lighting, sound quality and entertainment was beyond superb. If you have a chance, SEE HIM!
Both shows were tight and obviously well rehearsed. The performers definitely gave us our money's worth.
first I would like to say that Charlie Wilson and Musiq Soulchild delivered a great show but I must say I was a little disappointed in how few people showed up. I give this show a 5 star, very good. I am a truly Charlie Wilson fan ( goes by to the Gapp Band).
This performance was one of the best things I've done for myself in a very long time! WELL worth the trip!
