This Akron rubber-meets-the-road rockin’ country band o’ brothers & sister had one GREAT nite turnin’ d twang up to 11 for all their fan-tastic family & friends at their histroric hometown Goodyear Theater. ONE of their Americana A1 ace recording guest friends, ol’ Slim Jim Lauderdsle strode out, goin’ to his guitar whip hand hard … funnily, funkily & folkily hoppin’ & boppin’ thru his thick-like-Sears, 3 country chords proud, bluegrassy catalog. Mr. L returned at end of show to fire on all catchy cylinders w/The Shoots on more legendary Lauderdale six-string laments. The S.Os two-steppin’, straight up/down/all-around, no chaser bunch proved again to be anythin’ but Akron anachronistic analogized animes. Swift, bittersweet & chordily-clipped songs warmly led by Humble Ryan Humbert uplifted us all … plus lead geetar Brian Poston’s round of album title infectious instrumentals were deelightfully gleerightfully & steerikefully bullseyes baby! Engaging Emily Bates beautiful harmonizin’ from her heart … left us bresthless. This Midwest barnburner dance party left us all Suthin’ Soundin’ Starrygazed … OHIO can they GO!

I chose this event for a family Christmas date night for my son and I. We had a great time! My son wants to see The Shootouts again.

I will definitely be following The Shootouts from now on. Great show, great energy. These guys, and gal, rock.

Loved this event! My husband and I both enjoyed this show so much! The venue is beautiful and easy to access, and the music was sensational! The Shootouts were wonderful!
